Children
Children had (and still do) a very special place in the heart of Jesus, and we want to be like Him!
If today's children are tomorrow's leaders, then we have a stewardship responsibility to see that they grow in the knowledge of who He is. Our desire is to work alongside of parents to help their children embrace God's love and plan for them.
We currently are working on a “Value System” where we teach our kids a 'Value of the Month'. During our large group setting on Wednesdays, we have a specific value (honesty, initiative, caring, etc.) that we are pouring into our children and tying it to a Scripture memory verse.
Just like with adults we exist to help children become Christ followers who invite, love, grow, and serve. But we do it with brighter colors, louder music, and lots more games!
We have exciting programming for children whenever we have our regularly scheduled services.
On Sundays...
9:00 AM Sunday School – children are broken into age appropriate classes for a time of Bible teaching, fellowship, and prayer
10:30 AM Faith Factory – this is a large group “kids worship service” with music, teaching, games, small group time; it's an exciting alternative to “big church” for the children; high energy, fun, and quality would be words to describe this environment
“5th Sunday” Once per quarter (four times per year) we have a month that has a '5th Sunday'... on that Sunday we have our elementary age children join us in the sanctuary for “big church” so we can model to them what it will be like one day; usually on that Sunday the children's choir will sing a song or the pastor will have a “children's sermon” by sitting down with the kids... it's a great family day!
On Wednesdays...
6:00 PM Our Wednesday night program covers the full run of activities. From children's choir to recreation time to instructional time, we try to plan an anti-thesis of all day in the classroom, but still create an environment pointing them to God. It's a great mid-week diversion to get through the rest of the week.
Other Programs
Children's Choir (wednesday nights)
VBS (annually during the summer)
Kids Day Out (periodically during the summer)
Seasonal Events (Trunk-or-Treat, Easter Egg Hunt, etc.)
